AFSA has officially released its proposed constitutional amendments and resolutions in preparation for its upcoming national convention.

Amid the wave of ICE raids sweeping across California last week, fear and uncertainty have gripped many students, families, and educators.

The agreement, which was ratified this month, covers 150 directors and assistant directors, and spans from Oct. 1, 2020, through March 2028. The tentative deal includes a ratification bonus, annual retention bonuses and increases to the union’s welfare fund.

Dozens of schools across the nation led by AFSA members have been awarded Blue Ribbon designation by the U.S. Department of Education. 

The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program, started in 1982, recognizes public and private elementary, middle and high schools based on their overall academic excellence or their progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups.
