However, we know condolences fall short of addressing the gravity of this terrible act of violence. America's children deserve more than empty expressions of sympathy; they deserve an environment free from fear, where learning and growth can flourish without the burden of this horror lasting a lifetime.
The American Federation of School Administrators continues to ask for swift and decisive action from local, state and national political figures to confront the persistent and escalating violence afflicting our schools. We are resolute in our commitment to ensuring secure and safe environments for students, educators and support staff, all of whom are essential to the seamless operation of our schools.
